The Chennai police has arrested one more person in connection with the sexual harassment complaint filed by actress Amala Paul.
The person arrested now has been identified as Baskar, a 53-year-old from Saidapet.
A source said Baskar was responsible for arranging the Malaysian event that the actress was to attend.
Apart from Baskar, the police have registered a case against Razak, manager of a private firm in Malaysia, for colluding with Azhagesan, the other person arrested in the case.
Meanwhile, Amala Paul, in a statement, thanked the police for its swift action.
"I thank the police for their swift action on the matter as they have not only found various evidences on the operations of the racket, but have also arrested two of the lynchpins," the actress's statement read. "Few more arrest warrants are underway for other suspects too. But I still request them to expedite the investigation and make public all the names who are involved in this racket."
The actress also clarified that during investigation, the police had not found any "ill-doing" by her manager, Pradeep Kumar, or any of the members of her team.
