The trailer was anything but impressive, however Hate Story IV has so far given us a good number in 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' and then a fairly decent one in 'Boond Boond'. Producers T-series have now unveiled a new romantic number 'Tum Mere Ho'.
Urvashi Rautela stole the show in the 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' remake, but 'Tum Mere Ho' is picturised on Punjabi actress Ihana Dhillon. The song is all about the intimate moments between Aryan Khanna (Vivan Bhatena) and Maya (Dhillon).
As seen in the trailer, Maya called herself the twist in the tale. Dhillon has sex appeal, but is that enough for you to tune into 'Tum Mere Ho'?
No, as Manoj Muntashir’s average lyrics drag the track down. The mukhda (intro) is promising, but therafter the lyrics are quite lame.
Jubin Nautiyal has a soothing voice and he sings true to form for the first half, but goes haywire the moment the second verse begins ('Tum na hote...'). That is where the tempo changes and shortly Nautiyal is joined by Amrita Singh, who isn’t convincing in the few lines that she croons.
The one thing that works in the favour of the track is the soothing music. The guitar intro could remind you of Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ 'Californication'. However, the rhythm is mellow in the Hindi song. Mithoon deserves credit for giving a soft score, but the average lyrics reduce 'Tum Mere Ho' to an average romantic number.
Hate Story IV will be released on 9 March.
