Katrina Kaif, Bobby Deol in Bharat? Director Ali Abbas Zafar clarifies only Salman Khan is finalised

Rumours of Bharat (2019) having Katrina Kaif and Bobby Deol in the lead roles along with Salman Khan have been put to rest by director Ali Abbas Zafar.

When we asked Zafar about the same, he said, "I'm sorry, I can’t make any comment on the casting. As I said in my tweet, only Salman has been finalised."

The director had earlier tweeted that only Khan had been finalised for the film, which spans across seven decades of India’s history starting from 1947.

A source close to one of the actors in contention confirmed that talks are on, but nothing has been confirmed.

In January, India Today magazine had quoted Zafar saying, “I haven't finalised the cast yet. But Katrina is always on my mind when I think of my film's heroine. She is one of my closest friends and I can tell her anything, she can tell me anything. Yes, we won't be doing all our films together, but I know I can approach her whenever I feel she's correct for the role. But right now, nothing is decided on Bharat yet,"

Zafar has directed Kaif in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). Deol is currently working with Khan in Race 3.
