Box office: 2.0 (Hindi) enjoys good first week, earns Rs129.75 crore nett

Having had an impressive extended first weekend, where it bagged Rs95.25 crore nett, the dubbed Hindi version of Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth-starrer sci-fi thriller 2.0 has continued its good run over the week at the box office. The film, directed by S Shankar, has earned a Rs129.75 crore nett in the Hindi belt in the first week.
2.0 had released on Thursday (29 November) in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The Hindi version made Rs95.25 crore nett in its extended opening weekend and went on to bag another Rs34.5 crore nett in the first three days of week one.
Made at an estimated budget of Rs543 crore, 2.0 had released across 4,000 screens in Hindi. The film had released in 10,500 screens (all languages) worldwide, excluding China, where it is expected to be released in 56,000 screens in May 2019. The film's six-day all-India business stands at Rs282.31 crore nett and the worldwide collection so far stands at Rs450 crore.
According to sources, 2.0 has bagged Rs125 crore through the satellite and digital rights of the Hindi version, sold to Zee TV. Producers, Lyca Productions, fetched another Rs25 crore for satellite and digital rights for Tamil and Telugu versions. The producers have also reportedly signed a digital deal with Amazon Prime Video. The nature of the deal has not been disclosed yet.
