Vikram’s Kadaram Kondan on the verge of completion

Reports say Kadaram Kondan will be wrapped up by January and the makers are targeting an April 2019 release.

Tamil star Vikram, last seen playing a duty-conscious police officer in Saamy Square (2018), will next be seen in the upcoming thriller Kadaram Kondan, directed by Rajesh M Selva.

The film’s first look poster was released for Diwali and it featured Vikram in a menacing avatar. The project, which has been predominantly shot in Malaysia, marks the first time Vikram and Rajesh Selva are working together.

The makers recently wrapped up the Malaysian schedule of the film and returned to Chennai to gear up for the next schedule. According to trusted sources, the film is on the verge of completion.

Reports are emerging that the film will be wrapped up by January and the makers are targeting an April 2019 release. Kadaram Kondan also stars Akshara Haasan and Pooja Kumar in crucial roles.

During the launch of the project in August, it was mentioned in a statement that this happens to be the 45th production of Raaj Kamal Films. The film, which will be dubbed and released in Telugu, has music by Ghibran.

While there are reports that Kadaram Kondan is a remake of Hollywood thriller Don’t Breathe (2016), the makers haven’t officially clarified this.

Upon completion of this project, Vikram will gear up for the shoot of Mahaveer Karna, to be directed by RS Vimal and made on a whopping budget of Rs300 crore.
