After hosting receptions in Delhi and Mumbai, actress Priyanka Chopra and her husband singer-actor Nick Jonas invited her industry colleagues and friends to a grand celebration at the Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra, Mumbai. Chopra’s former co-stars and directors all attended and wished the couple on their marriage.
Her Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) co-star Salman Khan arrived in style at the reception. Many thought that the two might have had a falling out after Chopra walked out of Khan's upcoming film Bharat (2019) as she was getting engaged. His attendance proved otherwise.
Other stars who attended were Kangana Ranaut, Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Rajkummar Rao, Kajol and Raveena Tandon. The usually reclusive music composer and singer AR Rahman also dropped by.
Veteran stars like Rekha, Hema Malini, Shabana Azmi and singer Asha Bhonsle also came to give the couple their blessingss. Badminton player Saina Nehwal, another newlywed, was also on the guest list. Producer Mukesh Bhatt, filmmakers Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, David Dhawan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Madhur Bhandarkar also attended.
Fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla who dressed the bride for the mehendi also made an appearance.
Chopra's colleagues, from Karan Johar to Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol to Zaira Wasim, were also present. But all eyes were on another newlywed couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Chopra's Bajirao Mastani (2015) co-stars, who arrived in matching black Indian traditional outfits.
They burned up the dance floor, dancing to a popular song ‘Pinga’ from their aforementioned film. The crowd roared their approval as the stars had an impromptu performance. In the Bhansali film, the song was picturized on Chopra and Padukone, but this time, Singh joined in.
The couple were dressed impeccably as their previous wedding celebrations. She wore light teal Indian outfit while he complemented her look with a green suit.
