Director-actor Pravin Tarade’s Marathi film Mulshi Pattern (2018) impressed the audiences when it released last month. The film is now set to be remade in Hindi by Salman Khan.
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, Salman Khan Films has acquired the remake rights of the film. The report also states that Aayush Sharma, Khan's brother-in-law, will play the lead character in the remake. The film is expected to go on floors by mid-2019. The director of the film is yet to be finalized.
Sharma made his film debut earlier this year with Loveyatri (2018), which was also produced by Khan. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the film also launched Warina Hussain. Loveyatri didn’t succeed at the box office, neither did it earn critical acclaim.
Mulshi Pattern is a gangster saga led by Om Bhutkar's protagonist. The film focused on farmers who, after having sold their land, are forced to venture into the crime world in order to survive. Bhutkar’s performance in the film was highly applauded.
Meanwhile, Sharma reportedly has signed another gangster film, Bombai, which also stars Sanjay Dutt.
