Mukti Bhawan to be released in Germany on 18 January, trailer to be attached with Zero

Shubhashish Bhutiani's film has already been released in over 25 countries.

Director Shubhashish Bhutiani’s Mukti Bhawan (Hotel Salvation, 2017) will be released in Germany on 18 January 2019, according to an official statement.

Starring Lalit Behl, Adil Hussain, Palomi Ghosh and Geetanjali Kulkarni, the film was released in India last year to critical acclaim. (It was ranked fourth in Cinestaan.com's list of 10 best feature films of the year.) The film has already been released in over 25 countries.

Interestingly, the trailer of Mukti Bhawan will be attached to the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Zero when it is released on 21 December.

Mukti Bhawan tells the story of an ageing father who wishes to spend his last days in the ancient holy town of Benares. As per Hindu belief, a person who dies in Benares attains instant salvation.

Speaking on the development, Bhutiani said in an official statement, “I am delighted to see the film now releasing in Germany after a very successful run in Japan recently and other countries around the world. Audience and critics reaction to the film in Japan was very heartwarming.”

Producer Sanjay Bhutiani, the director's father, said, “We are thrilled to see our little gem releasing across Germany next month. It has been two years since its world premiere at Venice in 2016 and the dream run continues.”

Mukti Bhawan will be distributed in Germany by C International Sales, a sister company of Cinestaan Digital Pvt Ltd, which runs this website. "Good films always find an audience, and that’s just what’s happened with Hotel Salvation, and we couldn’t be happier,” said Paul Hudson, director of C International Sales.
