After a lacklustre 2018 in which he produced and acted in the disappointing action-film Race 3 and produced Loveyatri, Salman Khan is looking ahead to 2019 with the productions of Bharat and Notebook. The actor-producer announced that Notebook will be released on 29 March 2019.

The love story will introduce two new faces, Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal, to the Hindi film industry. Khan shared the news on Instagram on Iqbal's 30th birthday today (10 December) and revealed that its trailer would be unveiled soon.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Notebook has been filmed in Kashmir over two months and finished its shoot just yesterday (9 December). The film launches actor Zaheer Iqbal, son of Khan's childhood friend Iqbal Ratnasi, and Pranutan Bahl, daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl and the granddaughter of late actress Nutan.

Notebook is co-produced by Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde of Cine1 Studios.
