Delhi high court sends Rajpal Yadav to jail for 3 months over failure to pay loan

Actor Rajpal Yadav has been sent to jail for three months for defaulting on a loan of Rs5 crore. Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw of the Delhi high court directed that the actor be taken into custody immediately and sent to Tihar Jail.

The case was filed by MG Agarwal, proprietor of Multi Projects, against Yadav and his wife in Delhi. The actor had been sentenced to a six-month imprisonment by a Delhi court earlier this year. However, he was granted bail, after the couple promised to file an agreement for repaying Rs11.90 crore to Agarwal.
In 2013, the actor had been sentenced to a 10-day imprisonment as well.
A prominent member of films like Partner (2007), Bhool Bhulaiyya (2007) and Khatta Meetha (2010), the actor has been absent from films for the last couple of years. He was last seen in the David Dhawan film, Judwaa 2 (2017).
