Pooja Bhatt hints at Sanjay Dutt being cast in Sadak 2

Actress-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt has hinted at casting actor Sanjay Dutt in the sequel of the 1991 hit crime drama Sadak. She shared a picture of herself, father Mahesh Bhatt and Dutt on the occasion of the death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore along with a portrait of the latter.

The interesting part about the post are the hashtags #sadak2 and #sadaktoo, even though the post is unreleated to the sequel Sadak 2. This has given rise to speculation that Dutt is well and truly part of the film.

Mahesh had announced the sequel to Sadak in November 2017. However, there had been no official announcement on the cast of the sequel.

Starring Dutt and Pooja, the 1991 film was a musical hit. Directed by Mahesh, the film also starred Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Deepak Tijori.

Earlier this year, there were reports about Alia, Pooja's sister and her Student Of The Year co-star Sidharth Malhotra being finalized for Sadak 2. There were also reports about Dutt and Alia coming on board for the film.

In 2013, Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt made Aashiqui 2 under their banner Vishesh Films. It was the sequel to their 1990 musical hit Aashiqui, and went on to become a mammoth success.
