Director K Selvaraghavan's much awaited film NGK, which features actor Suriya in the lead, will not be released during Diwali as announced before.
The producers of the film, Dream Warrior Pictures, have hinted that they are working to bring the best to fans and therefore, delivering the film may take a little longer than expected.
In a statement, the production house said, "NGK is our most prestigious project. We are humbled and overwhelmed by the support extended by all Suriya fans and Selvaraghavan fans from day one. We assure you all that it is a great entertainer in the making. We are working hard to achieve the best and deliver the same to you at the earliest. This may take a little longer than expected... than projected. So, we will be bringing it to you post Diwali."
The action-thriller has Rakul Preet Singh playing the female lead and Telugu star Jagapathi Babu playing an important role.
One other reason why the film has raised expectations is because it will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Every single time Yuvan has scored for a Selvaraghavan film, the numbers have gone on to become chartbusters.
Unfortunately, the two parted ways after a bitter fight and decided to work together again after many years. Technically, the first film the duo worked together on after the spat was Nenjam Marappathillai (2018). However, with that film being delayed indefinitely, the two decided to work together on NGK.
