Actors Jackie Shroff and Ali Fazal are having a great time on the sets of director Deva Katta’s Prassthanam, the official Hindi remake of his own Telugu hit Prasthanam (2010). Fazal says he got to learn a lot from the veteran.
“I’ve only learnt [from him]. And learnt not good but great things from dada," Fazal said in an official statement. "Everyone knows him fondly. He radiates the fondness. He is far more evolved than many people I’ve come across in my lifetime, so being with him has certainly been an education both in life and on celluloid. I watch him silently and listen to him talk. We have a very special and unspoken relationship in the film. You will have to wait and watch,” he added.
Fazal, who was last seen in Fukrey Returns (2017), fondly recalled an incident from the film's shoot.
“There was a rain sequence, me and Jackie dada had to shoot. I just remember even after both of us were drenched in water for over eight hours, he was so worried about the stray animals that were in the shot getting wet and [were] scared because of the noise on the sets. [It] melted my heart to see such compassion and love for nature in a world where we are drowning in pollution of so many kinds,” he said.
Prassthanam will see actor Sanjay Dutt paired opposite actress Manisha Koirala after a long time. The film also stars Kaalakaandi (2018) actress Amyra Dastur.
