Batti Gul Meter Chalu 'Hard Hard' song: Shahid-Shraddha party hard in this catchy new dance number

With Shahid Kapoor in the film, it is unlikely that Shree Narayan Singh could have avoided a dance number. With 'Hard Hard', the actor matches steps with Shraddha Kapoor in a fun and flirtatious dance number. Composed by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur, the song is a high tempo number that is a perfect party song. 

While Shahid's dancing ability was never in question, it is his flirtation with Shraddha and the fun dynamic that sets the tone for the song. The moves, while simple, are fun enough to catch on across dance floors. The song seems to be set at a wedding with its lights, banners and couples dancing in sync. Divyendu Sharma adds the third angle in the song, with his comic expressions as the best friend. 

The composition by Sachet-Parampara sets the tempo with its staccato beats playing in tandem to the lyrics by Siddharth-Garima. With Mika Singh and Sachet providing the voice for Shahid, Prakriti Kakar sings for Shraddha. All the singers bring their own style to boot, with Singh stealing it with his attitude. 

The magic though lies in the charming lyrics by Siddharth-Garima. The use of unlikely metaphors to illustrate the character and attitudes of Shahid and Shraddha in the film, the lyrics are a blast to sing along to. With the funky music, the lyrics bring another fun dimension to the entire performance. 

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is directed by Shree Narayan Singh, and is set to be released on 21 September.
