Kajol, Madhuri Dixit's fangirl moment with Asha Bhosle on Dance Deewane sets

It was a reunion of 1990s Hindi film fans would be over the moon about. First, two actresses that dominated the decade, Kajol and Madhuri Dixit Nene were coming together on the reality program, Dance Deewane. Second, the singer, Asha Bhosle, who voiced many of the hit songs from the period stopped by to give them a wonderful surprise.

Both Kajol and Dixit Nene look starstruck in their photographs with the legendary singer. The actresses were waiting to get ready for the shooting of Dance Deewane with makeup artist Mickey Contractor when Bhosle dropped in to greet them.

Bhonsle then rendered an impromptu performance of 'Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main' from Kajol's blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) which had all three turning on their smartphones and becoming "mushy paps" according to Dixit Nene. From Kajol's enthusiastic 'Whooo' at the song, it looks like she enjoyed the mini personal concert. Both Dixit Nene and Contractor are decidely more reserved in their reactions.

Kajol was attending Dixit Nene's reality show Dance Deewane, where she is a judge, to promote her next film, Helicopter Eela, that is due to be released on 12 October.
