Once Again trailer: Neeraj Kabi, Shefali Shah find love again

A film star and a widowed restaurant owner, who have nothing in common, find themselves attracted to one another in this drama of finding love again. In Once Again (2018), set in Mumbai, Neeraj Kabi plays the film star Amar who finds himself growing closer to a chef and business owner Tara, played by Shefali Shah.

They bond over food and telephone conversations, with a promise to meet in person some day. And when they do, they find themselves falling for each other, slowly but surely.

However, both Amar and Tara, who have grown children played by Rasika Dugal and Priyanshu Painyuli, have a hard time coming to terms with society’s expectations of how they should behave.

Written and directed by Kanwal Sethi, Once Again (2018) is the filmmaker’s first film in Hindi. He has previously directed the German drama Fernes Land (2011). Ajitpal Singh has written the Hindi dialogues.

The initial relationship between Amar and Tara reminds one of Ritesh Batra's The Lunchbox (2013) where Irrfan Khan's Saajan and Nimrat Kaur's Ila bonded over notes in a lunchbox.  Here the two have an actual relationship.

The release date for the for the Indo-German production has not been announced yet.
