The first poster of Soumik Sen's Cheat India captures the complex network of frauds that function within the Indian education system. The film, starring Emraan Hashmi, is set to be released on 25 January 2019.
Hashmi shared the poster on his Twitter account, with the tagline 'Nakal mein akal hai [Using the brain to cheat]'. The tagline seems to echo the theme of the film about the intelligence and complexity involved in the fraudster's attempt to overcome the system.

The poster does not feature the actor, but a pair of scissors placed ominously on a photo seem like a sign of a student being cheated of an opportunity in the education system.
The poster also captures the connection between money and qualification to entrance exams. As a pair of hands stamp an approval on a candidate, there is an open suitcase filled with wads of money. The admit card has the title AITEE, perhaps a fictitious version of the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE).
Cheat India is co-produced by Ellipsis Entertainment and T-Series.
