Sui Dhaaga song: 'Chaav Laaga' highlights Varun, Anushka's growing partnership

The first song out from Sharat Katariya’s Sui Dhaaga: Made In India (2018) is a simple romantic duet which shows the characters of Mauji (Varun Dhawan) and Mamta (Anushka Sharma) growing closer in their partnership; both as husband and wife, and as partners in their tailoring business.

By venturing out on his own, Mauji takes on additional hardships of finance and the constant pressure of finding work. But he has the support of his loyal wife, Mamta, who encourages him at every step and is by his side as he makes a monumental career change at her insistence.

In 'Chaav Laaga', composed by Anu Malik, singers Papon and Ronkini Gupta bring soulfulness to the romantic number written by Varun Grover. The team of Malik, Grover and Papon had earlier worked together on the National Award-winning film Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015).

This current track is a sweet introduction into the lives of Mauji, Mamta and the world of Sui Dhaaga. Their developing fondness and reliance on one another is evident in the song as time passes by.

The film, produced by Maneesh Sharma, is due to be released on 28 September.
