The official poster of choreographer-turned-director Baba Yadav’s upcoming thriller Villain is out. The poster features protagonists Ankush Hazra and Mimi Chakraborty in super-fit avatars. Their looks in the poster suggests that the film is going to be an action drama.
Hazra is seen in a completely rugged look for the first time. He last acted in Bolo Dugga Maiki (2017). Villain is the remake of Telugu film Gentleman (2016).
“All I can say is that this is not a common film. There are a lot of twists and turns in the film that would give the audience a different kind of flavour,” Yadav told Anandabazar Patrika, a daily.
Hazra, on the other hand, claimed that the audience will see him in a new avatar. “You can say that this film is going to change my image. The audience have seen me as the boy next door in the last few romcoms. But I have not appeared in these kinds of characters for a long time. There are many shades in the character. This is a crime thriller, probably one of the bests,” he said.
While Chakraborty is happy with the response she is getting from the poster. “We are getting amazing response from the poster and minutes within its release, all our fans are raving about it. Ankush and I look great in the poster and we are truly overwhelmed by the compliments we are getting. The story is also very engaging and I hope the people will love the film” Chakraborty told The Times of India, a daily.
