The bond between Deshpande and veteran Suhas Joshi, who plays her mother, looks quite promising.

The common audience perception is that a road trip film must either be a fun film or a thriller. But first-time director Nisheeta Keni’s Bogda: The Tunnel is neither.

Bogda is about a daughter (Mrunmayee Deshpande) who takes her ailing mother (Suhas Joshi) on a trip because the old lady, whom doctors have given very little time, has this strong desire to visit a particular village before she departs.

The trailer of Bogda, which has just been released, looks more at the back story of the trip. The trip and its outcome probably take the story forward. So, it does seem a good idea not to reveal too much about the voyage itself in the trailer.

The bond between Deshpande and Joshi looks promising in the trailer. The film also stars Rohit Kokate as the driver. He was last seen and appreciated in Kaul: A Calling (2016).

The camerawork, especially in the scene with a boat, appears creative. The song 'Zumbad', sung by Shankar Mahadevan, is effective and goes with the theme.

Bogda is set to be released on 7 September. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you will watch the film.
