Sunny Deol and Salman Khan shared screen space for the first time in Raj Kanwar’s Jeet (1996).

The two appeared in the same film years later in Heroes (2008), but they did not have a scene together.

The two actors are set to share the screen again after 22 years in Deol’s upcoming film Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se. Salman Khan has a cameo in the film.

However, Sunny Deol does not think he and Salman Khan will be signed on for a film together again. “I don’t think we would get an offer [to work together],” the Ghayal (1990) star said. Asked why he thinks so, he responded, “How would you justify both of us [being in the film]?”

But he added that he would not mind doing a film with Khan again. “I am up for anything. I never say no to anything. But somebody has to have the [right] story,” he said.

Discussing his bond with Khan, Deol said, “He has great regard [for me] and I have great affection for him. We have known each other since we worked in Jeet. We have a very different relationship; we are very close to each other.”

Also starring Dharmendra and Bobby Deol, Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se will be released on 31 August.
