Trisha roped in for Karthik Subbaraj-Rajinikanth film

Actress Trisha, who has been part of the Tamil film industry for almost a decade and a half, will for the first time act with superstar Rajinikanth in Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming film.

The news of Trisha having been roped in to play one of the leads was made official by Sun Pictures, the producers of the film.

Sun Pictures tweeted, "We are happy to announce that for the first time, @trishtrashers will be acting with Superstar Rajini in #SuperstarWithSunPictures"

The film has already garnered a lot of interest as it features an interesting star cast which includes Vijay Sethupathi, Simran, Bobby Simhaa, Megha Akash and Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

It was only recently that Rajinikanth had returned from Dehradun, where he had shot for two schedules of the film.

Trisha, who was obviously very happy about getting an opportunity to work with Rajinikanth, tweeted, "Coz sometimes you wake up and realise you’re still dreamin 😇❤ï¸Â #BestMonday #GODsfavouritechild #mycircleiscompletetoday🙏🏻"
