Actress Swara Bhasker, who had been a regular on the micro-blogging site Twitter, has temporarily deactivated her account. The move has come as a surprise for Twitter users and her followers when her profile could not be found on the site.

She told the news agency PTI that she is holidaying in Europe and will be back on the social platform after she returns to India. “I deactivated it. Digital detox. [I] will be back when I return to India next week,” she said.

Bhasker also added that her holiday was getting affected due to her Twitter addiction. “I wasn’t able to enjoy my holiday and was all the time tracking what’s happening in India. I just felt I’m getting addicted to Twitter,” she said.

The Anaarkali Of Aarah (2017) actress has been a ferocious critic of the central government, and this makes her an easy target of Right Wing trolls. She has also been a victim of fake comments a number of times. There is speculation that these trolls are the reason why she deactivated her account.

Bhasker refuted these claims saying, “All other reasons being ascribed are mere speculation and gossip!”

The actress was last seen in Shashanka Ghosh’s Veere Di Wedding (2018), that became a box office hit.
