The romantic film Ishqeria, originally due to be released in 2014, is now making its way to theatres this year. Starring Richa Chadha and Neil Nitin Mukesh, the first motion poster of the delayed project was finally unveiled today (2 August) by its makers.

Using all the colours of the rainbow, the poster reveals the font and tagline of the film. It states, “If you love someone set them free...” The feature film is also the directorial debut of Prerna Wadhawan who has also written the script.
Ishqeria is a college romance story with Chadha and Neil as the leads. The actress is supposed to play the girl-next-door in the film. The film’s official page calls it, “A beautiful tale of 2 millennials who take you through a journey of love and adventure.”
In 2014, when Chadha was asked about the film, she had told IANS, a news agency, "When I did Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012), everybody was asking me the same question — 'When will I be seen in a romantic film?' So finally I did a film with Neil, which is a typical romantic film. I will be doing the typical song and dance, which is a prominent part of the industry. I am really looking forward to this film."
Both Chadha and Neil’s careers look much different now than they did in 2014. The actor does lesser hero roles now and is often cast as an antagonist, while Chadha has been a part of critically acclaimed Masaan (2015) and acted in films like Fukrey Returns (2017) and Daas Dev (2017). She will next be seen playing the lead in a biopic on south actress Shakeela.
Ishqeria has been shot in Mussourie, and VJ Bani and Manish Anand are also a part of the romance. No release date has been announced yet.
