Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff's dance drama goes on floors in Mumbai

Actors Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff will be seen onscreen together for the first time in Yash Raj Films’ upcoming project, as announced last year. Interestingly, the dance film will have the two pitted against each other. 

The yet untitled film went on floors yesterday (17 August) in Mumbai. Hrithik shared a picture of him, Shroff and director Siddharth Anand on Twitter. The picture has the filmmaker’s back facing the camera. “And people thought it was a 2 hero film. Journey begins #HrithikvsTiger @iTIGERSHROFF #sidanand,” the actor captioned the image.

On numerous occasions, Shroff has said that he considers Hrithik as his guru and idol. In the film, too, they will share a similar equation. While speaking about the story of the film, the makers had said in the official statement, “Hrithik plays Tiger’s guru in this slick, face-off thriller that is expected to be a visual spectacle.” 

Actress Vaani Kapoor will play the female lead in the film. Yash Raj Films has also roped her in opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera. 

Shroff is currently riding high on the success of his last release Baaghi 2 (2018). He will next be seen as the lead in Punit Malhotra’s Student Of The Year 2, to be released on 10 May 2019. Hrithik’s next release is Vikas Bahl’s Super 30 which hits the screens on 25 January during the Republic Day weekend in 2019.
