In the suffocated lanes of Old Delhi lives Khuddoos (Manoj Bajpayee), a strange man who watches the area through his network of hidden cameras. However, when he begins to hear the growing cries of his young neighbour, Idris (Om Singh), who is being beaten by his father, Khuddoos becomes frantic trying to capture and bring justice to him.
Written and directed by first-time filmmaker Dipesh Jain, the film builds the desperation on both sides. From young Om, as he tries to leave his forsaken situation, and Khuddoos, as he tries to prove there is a young boy being abused on the other side of the wall.
Produced by Shuchi Jain, Dipesh Jain and Lena Vurma, Gali Guleiyan also stars Ranvir Shorey, Neeraj Kabi and Shahana Goswami. The film has travelled to festivals around the world, recently picking up awards for Best Actor and Special Mention for Indie Film at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
The psychological drama is due to be released on 7 September 2018 in India alongside the films Helicopter Eela, Laila Majnu, Paltan, and Halkaa.
