Mitron song: Yo Yo Honey Singh turns over a new leaf in 'This Party Is Over Now'

The rapper-singer is back with an anti-alcoholic message.

Friends, Yo Yo Honey Singh is back and he's here to tell us, 'This party is over now, ho jao saare sober now'. The man who once waxed poetic about 'Chaar Botal Vodka' and 'Chhote Chhote Peg' is a changed man.

For the setting of Nitin Kakkar's new film, Mitron, set in Gujarat, it's more appropriate. Alcohol has been prohibited in the state since 1960 when the state was founded.

The song written and composed by Singh also includes the Gujarati lyrics 'Su chhe, saaru chhe, gaandi gaandi daaru chhe' [What's up? All good, dirty dirty alchohol] in a young child, Nitu Chaudhry's voice. Hommie Dilliwala has also co-written the lyrics.

With bright neon lights and startling colours, the message of the video and the lyrics might seem confusing at first for some. But mid-way through, Singh states, "anti-alcoholic, yeh Yo Yo ka naya gaana [this is Yo Yo's new song]". And leads Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra are dead serious patrolling the party.

This is his more experienced take on the matter. "Youth ko samjalo, jaljeera se kaam chalalo [Make the youth understand, make do with jaljeera]". A sobering thought for many to digest!

Mitron, a remake of the Telugu film Pelli Chupulu (2016), is due to be released on 14 September.
