Lathe Joshi to travel to film festivals in Taiwan and Russia

Directed by Mangesh Joshi and produced by Amol and Laxman Kagne, the film had released in India on 13 July 2018.

Director Mangesh Joshi’s Lathe Joshi is now all set to travel to Taiwan’s 58th Asia Pacific International Film Festival and Russia’s Sakhalin International Film Festival, according to an official statement. 

“We came up with this significant film after Halal (2017). The film shows an important side of the society. The film has so far travelled to more than 20 international film festivals. It is indeed a moment of joy for all of us to see the film now travelling to Taiwan and Russia. We will continue to bring such films for the audience in the future as well,” producer Amol Kagne said in the statement.

Produced by Amol and Laxman Kagne’s Amol Kagne Studios, the film stars Chittaranjan Giri, Ashwini Giri, Om Bhutkar and Seva Chauhan. It tells the story of lathe worker Joshi (Chittaranjan) who loses his job at the workshop as its owners decide to switch to automated technology. The film focuses on the protagonist’s state of mind in the fast changing technological world. 

Lathe Joshi was theatrically released on 13 July 2018 and has received widespread critical acclaim.
