Shikari actress Neha Khan: I am very shy and simple in real life

The debutant, who made a lot of heads turn recently, spoke with the media for the first time.

Debutant Neha Khan made a lot of heads turn ever since the bold and, in some way, shocking teaser and song trailer of director Viju Mane’s Marathi movie Shikari was released recently. Naturally, there was a lot of curiosity regarding the actress who will make her debut in Shikari.

During the trailer launch of the film, produced by Mahesh Manjrekar, Khan revealed that she is not like her on-screen character in Shikari. “I am an absolute opposite in real life. I am very shy and simple,” she said.

But despite that, she was keen on playing the role. “When Viju sir narrated the story to me, I liked it a lot. I was told that there is a lot of exposure and I should think about that. I easily said I would do it,” she said.

We have paid tribute to Dada Kondke through Shikari, claims Mahesh Manjrekar

However, she got a jolt after knowing the exact scenes. “I felt, how can I refuse Mahesh sir and Viju sir now? So, I thought that as I have agreed to the film, I should prove myself by doing some good work,” added Khan.

She considers herself fortunate to have got such a launch. “I enjoyed working in this film with Mahesh sir and Viju sir. They have liked my work. I hope the audience also feels the same. I feel it is a big thing to get such a kind of debut. In fact, it can’t be better than this,” she said and added that since her mother is Marathi, she didn’t face much problems uttering the lines in the film.

Shikari will be released on 20 April.
