Karan Johar is set to direct Deepika Padukone in his next venture, albeit an ad film. The director has joined his Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2012) actress for an upcoming ad film by Dharma 2.0.
Director and Dharma producer Punit Malhotra shared pictures of the 'new director' Johar with his muse.
While the actress has had to postpone her yet untitled film with Irrfan Khan, owing to the Khan's illness, Johar is reportedly working more seriously towards the production end.
The two had last collaborated on Ayan Mukerji's hit, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2012). The actress has also appeared several times on Johar's popular chat show, Koffee with Karan.
Dharma 2.0 is an additional arm of Johar's Dharma Entertainment and will focus solely on advertisement films and 'new age content'. While the details of the advertisement have not yet been revealed, the project certainly offers the promise of bringing a star actor and a star director together.
