Police finds Yuvan Shankar Raja's 'stolen' Audi with driver asleep inside

The vehicle was found parked near Yuvan's Ethiraj Salai residence.

The Tamil Nadu police have found music director Yuvan Shankar Raja's missing luxury car.

The music director, had, through a friend, lodged a complaint yesterday (3 April) with the Egmore police in Chennai, stating that his Audi had been stolen.

In his complaint, music director reportedly said that he suspected his driver, Nawaz Khan, of stealing the vehicle.

The police, after registering the complaint began the investigation.

Yuvan Shankar Raja resides in an apartment in Chennai's Ethiraj Salai area and the police found the car parked nearby with the driver sleeping in the car.  

The police said Yuvan misunderstood that the car was stolen as Khan had not parked the vehicle in the usual parking slot.

Yuvan was quick to jump to conclusions as Khan is only temporarily employed with Yuvan until his regular driver returns. Moreover, Khan could not be reached on his mobile phone when Yuvan tried to contact him after the car went missing.

The driver, for his part, has explained that his phone had run out of charge, therefore, he could not be reacheable.

The music director withdrew the complaint after the car was found.

Yuvan is the second son of famed composer Ilaiyaraaja. He has scored music for many unreleased films including Vishal's Irumbu Thirai and Sandakozhi 2, Suriya's NGK, Dhanush's Maari 2, director Ameer Sultan's Santhana Devan, Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Super Deluxe and Chakri Toleti's Kolaiyuthir Kaalam.
