The viral hoax of veteran actress Mumtaz's ill health and death has been refuted by the actress's daughter herself. The story broke over the weekend that the actress who shone onscreen in the 1970s was suffering from ill health. Some reports even suggested that she had passed away. However, her daughter put up an instagram post of the actress who, she says, is doing well.

Tanya Madhvani, the Mumtaz's daughter, resides in London, and put up an Instagram video refuting any news about Mumtaz's death. "There are some rumors going around that my mother wasn't well and I would like her fans to know that she is doing brilliantly. It is just rumour. She is in Rome with me and we are going for shopping today to buy some plants for my garden," she said.

She later posted pictures of the actress.

Mumtaz was a prominent actress who starred alongside Rajesh Khanna, Shammi Kapoor in the 1970s in films like Brahmachari (1968), Khilona (1970), Apradh (1972),  and Roti (1974), among many others.
