The second teaser of director Prakash Kunte’s Marathi film Cycle is a pleasant one. The first one itself was good, and the second one is even more impressive. This adds to your interest in the film.
While the first teaser introduces the characters, the second one focuses on the story. Keshav (Hrishikesh Joshi) lives a simple lifestyle in a village called Bhugaon. He loves his bicycle and enjoys going on rides with his little daughter.
Gajya (Priyadarshan Jadhav) and Mangya (Bhau Kadam) are fifth generation thieves. They enter Bhugaon and lay their hands on Keshav’s cycle. This saddens the victim and hence his journey to find his cycle commences.
The story might sound serious, but the teaser shows that the treatment is completely light-hearted and funny. The simple village sequences are a sheer delight. The scene where the cycle repairman suspects them to be thieves deserves mention.
Joshi, Jadhav and Kadam appear to have given good performances. The little girl reminds us that Marathi cinema has been introducing talented child artistes over the last 10 years.
Cycle is Kunte’s fourth directorial after Coffee Ani Barach Kahi (2015), & Jara Hatke (2016) and Hampi (2017).
Cycle will be released on 4 May.
