The first poster of director Deb Medhekar’s Bioscopewala is out. The film is adapted on Rabindranath Tagore’s classic story, Kabuliwala. It has a long list of actors like Tisca Chopra, Danny Denzongpa, Adil Hussain, Geetanjali Thapa, Brijendra Kala, Ekavali Khanna and Maya Sarao.
The film will tell the story of a woman who meets her late father’s friend who used to showcase the Bioscope show which she used to enjoy as a kid. The film is said to be a connection between India and Afghanistan through love and cinema.
The poster of Bioscopewala shows picturesque mountains of Afghanistan against the broken bioscope machine. Although it is broken, the vibrant colours add a certain beauty of it.
This is Medhekar’s first feature film. He is a product of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Medhekar also created several advertising commercials for Equinox Films, where the director of Neerja (2016),Ram Madhvani, also began his career.
Bioscopewala is all set to release on 25 May.
