Chinese artists play RD Burman's 'Yeh Vaada Raha' song for Narendra Modi, Xi Jinping

The Indian prime minister and the Chinese president have met to discuss on the common interests between the two nations.

Indian prime minister Narendra Modi is currently in Wuhan, China, with Chinese president Xi Jinping, for a two day informal visit in which they are to discuss on the common interests between the two nations.

Yesterday, a grand welcoming ceremony was held at the Hubei Provincial Museum where Modi enjoyed a classical Chinese dance opera performance and also toured the musuem.

A short video shared by ANI, a news agency, shows the two political leaders listening to a grounp of Chinese musicians playing an instrumental version of the famous Hindi song from Yeh Vaada Raha (1982), originally composed by RD Burman and written by Gulshan Bawra.

The romantic saga starred Rishi Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon and Tina Munim (now Tina Ambani).
