CBFC clears High Jack with minor cuts; film to be released on 11 May

Director Akarsh Khurana's High Jack has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with only a few minor cuts. The film is now scheduled to be released on 11 May, with Meghna Gulzar's Raazi.

Confirming the news, lead actor Sumeet Vyas said, “Yes, our film has been cleared by the CBFC. The film is going to release now on 11 May."

When asked if there were any cuts demanded by the CBFC, he said, “Earlier, there were fears that there could be many cuts, but from what I know, the film has been cleared with minimum cuts. A few cuss words have been removed. CBFC found our film very entertaining. We were expecting the film to get an ‘A’ certification but were pleasantly surprised with the film getting a 'U/A' certificate.’

The stoner comedy was earlier slated to hit the screens on 20 April, but was stalled after the CBFC showed some reservations over its content.
