Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar, who has worked in Hindi cinema and was accused of sexual harassment by Pakistani actress-singer Meesha, has sent her a legal notice seeking a public apology, reported GEO TV. He has threatened to file a Rs100-crore defamation suit against her if she did not issue a public apology.
GEO TV reported that Shafi's lawyers have received a legal notice sent by Zafar’s counsel.
Shafi had alleged that Zafar had sexually harassed her on more than one ocassions. The last incident allegedly occurred on 21 December 2017 during a jam session at a studio. "This happened to me despite the fact I am an empowered, accomplished woman who is known for speaking her mind!" her statement had read.

Zafar had denied the allegations.

"I intend to take this through the courts of law, and to address this professionally and seriously rather than to lodge any accusations here," the singer had said on Twitter.
