Actress Sonam Kapoor, who is reportedly getting married around 7-10 May, has ruled out a destination wedding. It was earlier rumoured that Kapoor would tie the knot with longtime boyfriend, UK-based businessman Anand Ahuja in Geneva and Montreux. While the details of Kapoor’s wedding are to be officially announced, she has ruled out a destination wedding. In fact, the Veere Di Wedding (2018) actress said she was not a fan of big weddings.

"I think the whole idea of a marriage is more appealing to me than a wedding. I think there is too much money spent; it’s all very crass, and I would rather give that money away. I’d rather have a wedding at home than anywhere else. I think it’s important to do all the rituals, but I don’t believe in spending all that money, I find it disgusting and very wasteful, and I’m not okay with that at all," Kapoor told The National in Dubai.

As per a Mumbai Mirror report, the couple's nuptials will take place in Mumbai with ceremonies spread across three days between 7-10 May. The haldi, sangeet and wedding celebrations will take place in Mumbai, with another reception also planned in Delhi.

On the work front, Kapoor will be seen next in Veere Di Wedding to be released on 1 June.
