Sanjay Dutt biopic teaser to be shown on more than 80 channels before tomorrow’s IPL match

The keenly awaited teaser of director Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on veteran actor Sanjay Dutt will be out tomorrow at 7.58pm India time just before the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

As per an official statement from the makers, the teaser is 85 seconds long. More importantly, it will be telecast in more than 80 countries across the world where IPL is telecast. Following this, the teaser will be shown on various English and regional language channels the next day. It is rare to see the teaser of a film being shown on such a large scale.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is essaying the role of Dutt in the film. His various looks from the film, which have been released over a period of time, have generated a lot of excitement for the film.

The film will see Manisha Koirala play Dutt’s mother, late actress Nargis Dutt, while Anushka Sharma plays a journalist. Paresh Rawal plays the important character of his father, actor Sunil Dutt. The film also stars Boman Irani, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Jim Sarabh, Vicky Kaushal and Karishma Tanna.

The film will be released on 29 June.
