Veere Di Wedding poster features Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi

A day after director Rajkumar Hirani will finally unveil the trailer of his upcoming Sanjay Dutt biopic, actress Sonam Kapoor will reveal the first trailer of Veere Di Wedding, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, on 25 April.

A new poster for the film which shows the childhood friends enjoying a slumber party before the nuptials. The stars of the film, Sonam, Kareena, Bhasker and Talsania, pose happily for the cameras and are enjoying an epic slumber party in the poster.

Funnily enough, a poster for the 2000s popular soap opera, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is seen prominently in the background with former actress Smriti Irani. She is currently the minister of textiles as well as information and broadcasting.

The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi. Shobha and Ekta had produced Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi too.

Promisingly though, the film’s poster boasts the hashtag which claims #imnotaCHICKflick. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Veere Di Wedding is due to be released on 1 June.
