The Tamil remake of the popular Hindi film, Tumhari Sulu, has been titled Kaatrin Mozhi. The Tamil remake, which will have Jyothika reprising Vidya Balan's role, is being directed by one of the industry's respected names, Radhamohan.
Tumhari Sulu has been directed by Suresh Triveni and features Vidya, Manav Kaul and Neha Dhupia in the lead roles.
Interestingly, Kaatrin Mozhi will be the first film that the two will be working together in after the critically acclaimed superhit film, Mozhi (2007).
Sources close to the unit say that the film will go on the floors in June. Says a source,"The first schedule of the film was to begin in May, but because of the strike, the schedules have been pushed. It will now begin in June. Along with Jyothika, actor Vidharth has been roped in to play an important character in the film. The movie will have Mahesh Muthuswamy as its cinematographer and National Award winner KL Praveen as its editor."
Interestingly, a contest was recently held by the unit of the film, asking fans and film buffs to guess the name of the film's title. The winners, they had said, would get to meet the cast of the film in the shooting spot.
