The casting couch debate triggered by Telugu actress Sri Reddy has seen big names from the Telugu film industry go red in the face. After naming actor Rana Daggubati’s brother Abhiram and a few other producers, Sri Reddy didn’t hesitate to take on Pawan Kalyan on Twitter. Seasoned actor DR Rajasekhar’s name has also cropped up, while his wife, actress Jeevitha came to his defence.

Reddy, who had threatened to expose Jeevitha’s husband, had her character questioned.

Speaking on TV9 news channel, Jeevitha played a controversial video of Reddy raising questions over her credibility. (The content of the video is inaudible, except Reddy saying 'love you' to her followers.)

Jeevitha played out a video of Reddy from her social media and said, “If the houswives see this Facebook video, then they won’t believe that she was sexually exploited,” Jeevitha told TV9.

Later, as reported by Deccan Chronicle, Jeevitha issued a statement saying, “I want to know what is it that the Telugu film industry has not given her [Sri Reddy]? That she is going about defaming the entire industry?”.

Jeevitha also threatened to sue social activist Sandhya who, during a TV show, alleged that senior actresses used to arrange for college girls for her actor husband DR Rajasekhar to quench his sexual desires.

The same report stated that the actress had threatened to file a defamation suit against Sandhya, who has promised to come up with evidence.

Meanwhile, Reddy has issued an apology to Pawan Kalyan, his mother and family.

"Naa pillalani bediristhe evarni oorukonu..my sorry to the pawan's mother..felt so emotional bcz of the trolls on my girls..I never care any bad msgs on me..but I never care pawan.,” tweeted Reddy.
