Actress Bhumi Pednekar's next has her switching parts from a young woman preparing for marriage from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) and Shubh Mangal Savadhaan (2017) to the world of a housemaid. She is featured in Zoya Akhtar's untitled short film which is one of four films that make up the Lust Stories anthology. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP and Ashi Dua's Flying Unicorn Entertainment, filmmakers Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, and Dibakar Banerjee have also directed shorts for Lust Stories.
Akhtar's film also stars actor Neil Bhoopalam as Ajit and Pednekar as Sudha. Ajit owns the house where Sudha works. The two stills released by RSVP show Pednekar assessing her "cold stark reality" and daring to dream for a different life for herself. But will that come true for the young woman?
Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Neha Dhupia, Radhika Apte, Akshay Thosar, and Manisha Koirala feature in the other short films. Lust Stories will be available on Netflix worldwide in June.
