Bhavesh Joshi Superhero teaser: Harshvardhan Kapoor takes on baddies in a cool LED mask

The teaser of director Vikramaditya Motwane's film Bhavesh Joshi Superhero gives us a glimpse into an ordinary man who trains to be a superhero and fights evil like all superheroes do.

The film stars Harshvardhan Kapoor as a young vigilante who decides to take on criminals. We don't get to see Kapoor's face in the teaser, which is hidden behind a mask that has some cool LED lights around his eyes.

While he is just an ordinary citizen with no real super powers, like
the Green Arrow or Iron Man, Joshi turns into a brave hero at night time, taking on baddies on the streets of Mumbai, with his combat training and determination.

The film has a dark tone to it and does remind you of several comic book heroes from the DC universe. With Hollywood's superhero flicks ruling the roost around the world at the moment, it would be interesting to see how Motwane manages to bring originality, desi flavour and uniqueness to the concept. For now, the action looks slick and the thrills are impressive.

Produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is slated to be released on 25 May.
