Sushmita Sen goes down memory lane, shares old picture with Ricky Martin

Actress Sushmita Sen's win as Miss Universe took her across the world at a very young age, and some of the relationships she built have lasted the time. The actress shared a touching post about her interaction with the Latino singer Ricky Martin on her Instagram post today. 

The post, featuring a photo of the two sharing a quiet moment, reads, 'Our first meeting in #mexico #lasprisas #acapulco I was 18yrs old & @ricky_martin was 22 then! Now, I have two daughters & he has two sons born from the heart.' 

It was in the 1990s that the actress metMartin, and even accompanied him on several musical tours of Europe, striking a close friendship with him. The singer even dedicated a song in his album to Sen, calling her 'his inspiration'. This act made her the centre of a storm with several rumours erupting about her relationship with Martin. 

The actress is now mother to two daughters, Renee and Alisah, while Martin revealed that he is gay in 2010. Then, the actress was reported to have said, "All the time I have known him, I’ve been so proud of him. It takes tremendous courage to accept your own DNA. I knew he was gay. More power to him." 

While the actress has stepped away from films in the last decade, she continues to maintain a very popular profile on social media. It looks like she is enjoying her time reminiscing on old friendships.
