'Moh Moh Ke Dhaage' singer Monali Thakur released her first independent single 'Tamann' during the finale of the singing reality show, Rising Star, where she has been a judge.
Thakur has collaborated with lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and international music producer Bert Elliot for the song.
"It is a contemporary piece which is written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and is composed by international music producer, Bert Elliot. It's a fun, pop song and it is basically a portrayal of how I see my life that is carefree and full of pep. The song has hints of western influence in it in terms of the production value but it's an intricate Indian song at the end of the day," says Thakur.
The singer has released the audio of the foot-tapping track on Youtube as of now, and the video will also be out soon. The song definitely gives a glimpse into a different aspect of Thakur's singing.
Thakur, who has sung memorable film songs like 'Sawaar Loon' (Lootera), 'Moh Moh Ke Dhaage' (Dum Laga Ke Haisha), 'Anjaana Anjaani Ki Kahaani' (Anjaana Anjaani), and most recently 'Chal' in October (2018), feels that doing independent music gives her the space to experiment.
"This is my first independent song and I can say that it is a lot of excitement as it gives an artist's the space to experiment and try something new," she says.
