Satish Kaushik’s directorial debut Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja holds the place in history books as one of the most expensive films of its time that failed at the box office when it released. Star Anil Kapoor, actor Anupam Kher who played the villain and director Kaushik all remembered the film and its late actress on Twitter.

Kapoor wrote about the long process of making the film, which took around six years to complete. “Can’t believe it’s been 25 years for #RKRCKR I remember the obstacles that we faced during the shooting of this film & after as well but it was still a memorable journey,” he wrote.
He also paid tribute to his co-star and sister-in-law, and wrote, “We miss the Roop Ki Rani every day.”

The villain of the film, Anupam Kher, too mentioned he had great memories from the film and went on to say, “In some failures there are greater success stories.” Indeed, even though the film was panned by audiences and critics at the time, many recall the film and its songs fondly even today.
