Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja (1993), a quintessential revenge drama, had the perfect portion of tears, bloodshed, twists and thrills. The film was originally helmed by Shekhar Kapur, who abandoned it midway. Kapur's assistant, Satish Kaushik, came to the rescue and, it is said, most scenes were reshot under him. This, plus the fact that the film took almost 6 years to complete, caused the film's budget to soar through the roof.

The film failed miserably at the box office; some blamed Javed Akhtar for a poor story, some thought it lacked emotional connect.

Now it is Simmi's turn. She steals a 2000-year-old Egyptian statue from under Romeo's nose using charm, lies and magic. Their tussle before the theft is hilariously captured in the 'Chini Me Chai' song.
