The real-life inspiration behind Yash Raj Films’ Hichki, Brad Cohen finally got the opportunity to watch the Hindi film at a theatre in the United States. He wrote about his experiences as a teacher in a book titled Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had, which was later adapted into the Hallmark TV movie titled Front Of The Class. Hichki, starring Rani Mukerji, released in theatres on 23 March 2018.

Cohen grew up with Tourette Syndrome and was often punished for being a troublemaker when he was student. As an adult, he was determined to be the teacher he wished he had.

He shared a photograph of himself with the poster of Hichki at a movie theatre and wrote, “I finally had a chance to see #Hichki the Bollywood movie based on Front of the Class. It was amazing!”
