Will Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh star in YRF's next?

Reportedly, the yet untitled film will be directed by Maneesh Sharma and will go on floors next year.

After the worldwide success of their last film together, Padmaavat (2018), Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh might next reunite for a Yash Raj Films (YRF) production. A recent report on film website bollywoodhungama.com stated that the two stars, who are seeing each other, might be cast in producer-director Maneesh Sharma's untitled next.

Singh has a busy 2018 with Simmba (2018), Gully Boy (2019) and '83 (2019) in various stages of production. Padukone's next project, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is on hold as her co-star Irrfan Khan is in the US getting treated for neuroendocrine tumor.

While this makes Padukone's availability clear, it seems Singh will be tied up for most of the year finishing Rohit Shetty's Simmba and prepping to play Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan's '83.

The report also mentions that Sharma's film will go on floors next year, so it looks like both Singh and Padukone will be free for the shoot. No official announcement has been made by Yash Raj Films as yet.

The production company's 2018 linueup includes Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Sharat Katariya's Sui Dhaaga: Made in India and Vijay Krishna Acharya's Thugs of Hindostan. YRF's only 2019 release is Siddharth Anand's next film, an untitled project starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor.
